TISCO's first domestic film type LNG ship/tank stainless steel-

Recently, TISCO launched the first stainless steel product for MARK - Ⅲ LNG (liquefied natural gas) carrier/tank membrane enclosure system in China, passed the French GTT certification, and became the first qualified supplier in China and the third qualified supplier in the world, solving the problem of LNG shipping and storage of basic materials in China.

LNG has the advantages of convenient storage, convenient transportation and less pollution, and its proportion in global natural gas trade is increasing. The demand for large LNG carriers and large storage tanks in the terminal is growing. As the LNG storage and transportation conditions must reach minus 162 ℃, the requirements for the basic materials of the storage and transportation equipment are extremely strict.

In the face of major national needs, as an early domestic enterprise involved in stainless steel materials for LNG industry, TISCO established a technical research team in time. After two years of unremitting efforts, it broke through key technical bottlenecks such as ultra-high flatness control and high surface quality control of stainless steel for membrane LNG ships/tanks. Product flatness, surface quality, low temperature performance and other indicators fully meet the requirements of GTT, It has obtained the GTT approval certificate and the certification of several foreign classification societies at one fell swoop, has the supply qualification, and has successfully replaced the import of products, providing strong support for the localization of membrane LNG carriers/tanks in China.
